There is an old saying in Steel making process – “Take care of slag, Slag will take care of Steel”. Improper composition of Slag is very detrimental for the quality of steel as it can lead to harmful reversion of P, S and unwanted oxides.
Our Remix adjusts the Slag composition in such a way that it interacts with steel in a very balanced way thus maintaining proper equilibrium with the Steel. This helps in absorbing inclusions and impurities, and thus producing cleaner and better quality steel.
Our Remix lowers the melting temperature of slag and increases its fluidity. This helps the slag to remove sulphur from the steel in form of sulphides, which moves easily towards more fluid slag. Hence, it can also act as desulphurising agent.
The increased fluidity of slag also minimizes the erosion of refractory lining thus increasing the ladle life greatly.
